(Collider) Josh Gad stars opposite Kutcher as Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak.  So, you know, not the least annoying cast in the world.  TMZ says this is Kutcher in full costume on the way to the set of Jobs.   The script by Matt Whiteley chronicles Jobs’ trajectory “from a wayward hippie to co-founder of Apple.”  Joshua Michael Stern (Swing Vote) is directing.

Kutcher definitely has the look—now let’s see if he can pull of the performance.  Here’s what producer Mark Hulme said about casting his lead:

“Since our film covers the early years of Apple, when Jobs was in his 20?s, we needed an actor who could carry not only the youthfulness of Jobs at the time but also the psychological complexity. Because of that, and Ashton’s physical similarities to Jobs, he’s perfect for our film… When Ashton read the script he was immediately attracted to the project. He is a Steve Jobs and Apple fan, and is technologically savvy, as well, so he recognized the historical importance of Steve Jobs and the potential of the project. He is very excited to have the role.”

If you’re a Hollywood actor staring in an action film, there’s one rule you need to know. As ridiculously cliche as it sounds, when it comes to the silver screen; “You win some you lose some”. How many times have you snuggled up in your comfy movie theater seat, to see a classic movie bad ass like Bruce Willis or Robert De Niro in an epic battle to the death. However, like previously mentioned some of our favorites lose their battle with fate which leads to their untimely death.

But who has died the most?

Project X the movie the movie that depicts a high school mega party on screen, has unfortunately caused mega turmoil off screen. Without a doubt Warner Bros. pockets will be a little bit thinner after what happen at Texas “Project X” party.

Project X, a film directed by Nima Nourizadeh and produced by “The Hangover” Tood Phillips, tells the story about  3 high school seniors throw a birthday party to make a name for themselves. As the night progresses, things spiral out of control as word of the party spreads. Some high school students in Houston,TX were inspired to recreate their own “Project X” party and succeed with over 1,000 attendees. Chaos broke out  when one of the juiced up teenagers decided to open fire on the crowd.

Trash cans full of spiked punch were set out for partygoers. Wet foam blanketed the floor. Women who wore bathing suits were granted free entry to the party, according to the Project X flyer.

When I overhear people in L.A. talking about the movie screenings at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery I smirk silently because I know something they don’t know!If you’ve ever been to a screening at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery you know how long the line can be to get in and you also know how crowded it gets. Well, I’m here to tell you that there’s a cooler alternative to the madness. The Devil’s Night Drive-In!

The Devil’s Night Drive-In is one of the raddest things there is to do in the City of Angels! The event feels like a pop up, but it’s been going strong since 2007! It takes place in a 2 story parking structure in DTLA on the corner of 4th and Broadway where you have the  option of parking downstairs and camping out on the astroturf or pulling your car up to the top floor and watching from inside your own vehicle.

I prefer to get there early and pack a small cooler of beer and snacks, and set up show on the astroturf with blankets and beach chairs.It’s nice to slow down sometimes and have an hour or so to relax, catch up with friends, talk to people sitting around you or play some UNO. If you don’t want to schlep any food or beverages there is a concession stand for your convenience.

If you’re too lazy to walk or just want to get the full experience of the drive-in, the roller derby girls are there with their roller skates on and ready to serve! They’ll roll on over and get you what you need. Prices are  very reasonably and proceeds go to derby dolls.

Now on the films! They’re projected out of a sweet ass classic car onto a giant inflatable screen. There’s a great sound system which streams Devil’s Night radio before the movie starts. Some of the movies that have been featured have included cult classics such as The Goonies, The Princess Bride, Pulp Fiction, The Legend of Billie Jean, E.T., Die Hard, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Lost Boys, Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles, Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, Clockwork Orange, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Say Anything, Clue should I keep going?

You’ll see all types of people here including hipsters, yuppies, preppies, families, couples on dates and sometimes pets! You can buy your tickets online in advance or at the gate. You can find all the information you need here

Swingers

With the hilarious tag line “You’re money, you’re so money and don’t even know it!”, Swingers depicts a group of wanna be actors adapting to the ultra hipster L.A. scene.  Jon Farveau and Vince Vaughn deliver a spot on reenactment of what most L.A transplants experience upon arrival. Learning the rules of the city isn’t easy, it involves letting go of the past  and tackling L.A’s social scene head first.

Training Day

Denzel Washington delivers an Oscar award winning performance as rouge LAPD cop Alfonzo Harris who describes himself, quite accurately, as a “wolf among wolves”.  The film shows the training process of rookie cop Jake, played by Ethan Hawke, who quickly discovers the rules of policing the streets of LA cannot be found in any police handbook. Touching everything from corruption to gang life to street politics Training Day is a definite must see.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit

No your eyes aren’t deceiving you it’s “ Who Framed Roger Rabbit”. The movie, that was the coolest during our younger years, still packs a powerful punch. Even though animated at times, this film takes a look at L.A. life during the 30′s through the eyes of a wrongly accused rabbit and a “toon “ hating detective.

Terminator 2: Judgment Day

Who knew that the T-800 sent to save John Conner would later be “saving” the state of “Khalifornia”.  T2 has everything that an awesome action movie should have explosions, car chases, and fight scenes all set in 1990’s L.A. Plus Arnold’s nemesis portrays the LAPD  perfectly, an evil being that no matter what just won’t go away!

Boyz n the Hood

What do you get when you mix social commentary on the civil war that was waged in the streets of South Central in the 90′s with a cast of Hollywood’s up and coming black thespians? The answer is John Singleton’s 1991 hit  “Boyz in the Hood”. Morris Chestnut, Ice Cube, Angela Basset, Laurence Fishburne, Nia Long and Cuba Gooding Jr. deliver a film that opened the countries eyes to what life in South Central was like in the 90’s.
