Apparently the Mayans weren’t predicting the end of the world in 2012, just the end of the Los Angeles Lakers.

The season started with Lakers fans foaming at the mouth about the arrival of Dwight Howard & Steve Nash.  It was assumed that with 4 All-Stars in the lineup, an 18th NBA Championship  was all but guaranteed.

Then the season started

Fast forward 2 months later; the Lakers have a new coach, are at risk of missing the playoffs, and have been surpassed by the Clippers as the team to beat in L.A.

Just like in season past when shit goes wrong poor Pau Gasol receives all the blame.  Immediately sending Lakers nation into a frenzy demanding Pau to be exiled from Los Angeles . Kobe response to these demands usually goes something like, “Pau is one of the hardest working big men in the league, we just need to get back to playing Lakers basketball”.

This year the trade fire is burning higher than ever and now Sarah McLachlan has gotten involved.
