Yesterday the A$AP Mob consisting of members , Ferg,Ant, Twelvy, Nast, and Rocky, dropped their long awaited mixtape “Lord$ Never Worry“. It was well worth the wait.
“Lord$ Never Worry” will have features from artists such as Raekwon, Danny Brown, Jim Jones, Gunplay, and Fat Trel, and have tracks produced by AraabMuzik, Clams Casino, and Silky Johnson. “Bath Salt,” “Purple Kisses,” “Work” were released prior to the full album and had everyone craving for more; “Lord$ Never Worry” delivers.
For those of you who are completely oblivious of A$Ap Mob movement, they are the Harlem-based crew that claims one of Hip Hop’s fastest rising underground king A$AP Rocky. 23-year old Rakim Mayers, aka A$AP Rocky, has been blazing through Ipod’s since his first single “Peso” was leaked via YouTube in 2011. The track quickly rose in popularity and within weeks was picked up by NYC’s famous Hot 97 radio station.
Within a year Rocky has managed to open on tour for Drake, preform on Late night with Jimmy Fallon, and sign a 3 million dollar record label with Sony Records. You can expect A$AP Rocky‘s solo studio debut “LongLiveA$AP” on October 31st.
When recently asked about his studio debut and the sudden success of the A$AP Mob; A$AP Rocky boldly stated:
“[We're] putting out that motherfucking tastemaker music that we do. We change the sound of mainstream. The mainstream isn’t gonna be that bullshit that you hear on the radio all day. The mainstream’s gonna be that A$AP,” Rocky said. “We’re gonna change the whole world with this shit. I have a dream! I’m the trill Martin Luther King, straight up.”
