Daft Punk

During the past 16 years the French duo known as Daft Punk, made up of Thomas and Guy-Maneul , have manage to capture the hearts of teens and adults alike worldwide.

With ageless tracks as “One More Time”, “Digital Love”, and “Around the World” even if you’re not a fan, you’ve definitely been on a dance floor when Daft Punk was playing. Throughout this time they have stayed on top of their game, improving their sound and look to best reflect where they’re are as artist.

If you’ve ever seen Daft Punk , one thing becomes completely apparent; their look is unlike any other in the game. In fact their true identity are somewhat of a mystery. In the early stages of their careers they rarely gave interviews and when they did their faces were  digitally edited to keep their true identity hidden. During the Discovery years when the duo went mainstream, they started appearing as futuristic robots for publicity photo shoots, interviews, live shows and music videos. These suit were made up of complicated helmets capable of various LED effects and metallic finger gloves. Daft Punk has stated their robot masks easily merge the characteristics of humans and machines.

Thomas Bangalter once stated, “We did not choose to become robots. There was an accident in our studio. We were working on our sampler, and at exactly 9:09 a.m. on September 9, 1999, it exploded. When we regained consciousness, we discovered that we had become robots.
