L.A. Street Meat!

When visiting Chicago its sacrilegious to not try their deep-dish pizza, for Philly its Cheesesteaks, Memphis you’d be idiotic to not get a slab of baby back Ribs.

Now LA can be included in the cuisine discussion with, drum roll please, The “Tijuana Dog” What’s in a Tijuana Dog, you might ask? It’s simple: you start with an all beef hot dog kicked up a notch by wrapping it in bacon!  No your eyes aren’t deceiving you; I said bacon.

The meat combo is then grilled right before your eyes along with the toppings, onions and peppers. It is then wedged between a perfectly toasted bun and drizzled with the condiments of your choice ranging from the ketchup, mustard, mayo, or even hot sauce.

I know what you’re thinking I must drop everything I’m doing right now and get this heaven on a bun.

The moving carts name “carritos” can be heard sizzling on practically every street corner in downtown LA and also can be found comforting the inebriated club-goer’s on Hollywood Blvd till wee hours in the morning. The price for these “Tijuana Dog’s” can range anywhere from $1.50 to $5 at some Hollywood spots.
