One of my greatest musical discoveries in 2011 was the upbeat electro pop dance music put out in the EP of L.A.’s very own Capital Cities.

I happened to stumble upon a random gig of theirs with no idea what to expect  I was completely  unaware of what type of music they were about to unleash on me. Within seconds of the start of their set I was singing along to songs I was hearing for the first time and dancing my ass off!

I looked around and noticed I wasn’t alone, everyone was having a blast! I thought the bartenders must have been lacing everyone’s drinks with LSD so naturally I went to check out another one of their shows in September at the Bootleg Theater to test my hypothesis and sure enough the audience was going wild again!

If I had to describe their music I would have to say it’s probably what you would get if Hot Chip, Chromeo and Two Door Cinema Club had a threesome. Yea!
